  • After a full year’s planning and preparation the 20th Annual Devils Run went off without a hitch.
Organizer Stan Orness was as pleased as can be as he watched the Shadows Band play in the Galleger Elks Band Shell in Roosevelt Park Saturday night, he and Sharon snuggled together in their golf cart.
“Isn’t this just great?” Orness asked. “Look at all these people, they come from all over, I can hardly believe it.”
At Sunday’s closing ceremonies the winners were named in several drawings and voting opportunities associated with the Devils Run.
Creative Impressions gave out two nice prizes to Jerry Seibel of New Rockford and Lee Tangelin of Devils Lake.
In hopes of inspiring another generation of car enthusiasts the ND Street Rod Association gives an award to the most deserving under 21 participant. They are joined by Snap-on Tools and Jerry Millar, Arlen Hefta of The Devils Lake Hearing and Optical Center and Lake Region State College to provide incentives for young people to get involved in car restoration. The winners were all from North Dakota this year with 19-year-old Bryant Noot from Marion, ND, taking home first prize, second place winner was Tanner Hilliard from Lakota, Aaron Christianson form Langdon was third and Dylan Heger from West Fargo got fourth.
