  • The warm fall temperatures broke records around the state of North Dakota this past Thanksgiving week.
    According to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, the temperature was a record-breaking 56°. Normal for this time of year is 30° and the same day in 2010 it was 25°.
    Even Black Friday, Nov. 25 was nicer this year than last year. The high was 42° and last year it was 15°. Normal for that date is 29°.
    This week is expected to be in the 30s in the Devils Lake area.
