    • The spring sports season at Devils Lake High School continues to wind down. The Firebirds missed qualifying for postseason action in baseball and softball, while the softball team, which finished third at the state tournament last year, dropped its first game of the Eastern Dakota Conference tournament on Thursday and must win two consecutive games beginning tonight in West Fargo in order to secure a return to the state tournament next week in West Fargo. Meanwhile, the state track meet, the oldest gathering of high school athletes in North Dakota dating back to its origins in 1902, takes place beginning today at the Bismarck Community Bowl.
