    • The annual Lake Region Invitational, one of the top high school tournaments in North Dakota, tipped off on Thursday at the Devils Lake Sports Center. The Devils Lake junior varsity opened the tournament by defeating North Star. Dakota Prairie, the two-time defending tournament champion, Lakota-Adams-Edmore and the Carrington JV also posted wins on the first day of the tournament.
